Roy Smeck Ukulele
Item # 000141
Roy Smeck was a famous guitar, harmonica, banjo, and most of all ukulele player from the late '20s all the way through to the late '70s, with his own radio show, TV appearances and dozens of recordings and music books to his credit!
Harmony made his signature model ukes right up to their closure sometime in the '70s, due to cheaper overseas competition as usual.
This one's probably from the '50s or '60s and has the cool early plastic fingerboard. Plays well with a bright clear tone and easy to tune! Condition Apart from a few scratches the only damage is a 3" hairline crack in the top next to the bridge (you can just see in the close-up photos) but it doesn't detract from the overall appearance. Rates VG+ Comment A nice little soprano size (21") uke from the Harmony Company in Chicago!
