Burford Single Fin Surfboard

Here's a wild early '70s single fin from the Don Burford factory at Currumbin. 

At 6'10" x 18 1/2" x 3" this is a serious big wave chaser with no legrope plug, just the old hole in the fin.

The only thing written in pencil is a C plus the length.

An early spray job on the deck with wide resin pinlines.

Shapers working at Burfords during the '70s included Neal Purchase, Michael Peterson, Al Byrne and Richard Wood.

Condition
Deck is great, rates 8/10, but the bottom is well scared, rating a 6/10. All the dings have been fixed over the years and the board is totally watertight.
